QUALIFICATIONS

FLINCHBAUGH IS A ONE-STOP SHOP
All outside services, such as plating and heat treating, along with in-house capabilities, are coordinated and managed by Flinchbaugh to simplify the process for its customers. Our customers can place one order with Flinchbaugh that will entail everything needed to complete a job in its entirety.
OUR SYSTEM
Flinchbaugh utilizes MasterCAM and ESPRIT computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software to effectively program CNC equipment. Our CAD/CAM software provides the capability to utilize customer solid models, as well as expedite both the quoting and machining processes. Both solutions optimize the machining process and provide the capability to handle complex part configurations and requirements.
A Job Boss ERP system is utilized in all facets of the business. All customer orders are assigned internal job numbers during manufacturing. Individualized job packets are developed for each job to ensure all customer requirements are achieved. Jobs and materials are tracked, monitored, and managed by each unique job number.

CNC Milling
Flinchbaugh has ten CNC Machining Centers that offer an extensive range of CNC milling capabilities with both vertical and horizontal types. We also maintain both 40-taper and 50-taper CNC machining centers. Four of our CNC machining centers are equipped with pallet changers and most are accessorized with rigid tapping and high pressure, through-spindle coolant. Table sizes vary from 18 in. x 18 in. up to 36 in. x 60 in.
CNC Turning
Our six CNC Turning Centers cover a broad range of size capabilities. The smallest machine is fitted with a 7” chuck and turn parts as small as 1/2” in diameter while the largest machine can handle diameters up to 18”. Our four additional lathes are equipped with 8”, 10", 12" and 15" chucks, so they can handle all jobs in between the two extremes. The largest lathe can also handle bar sizes of 6" and turning lengths up to 50" Two others are equipped with automatic bar feeders and opposing spindles to maximize productivity. And finally, our newest 3 lathes combine milling and turning technology to maximize productivity and flexibility.
Painting
Our company specializes in epoxy, enamel, and acrylic liquid paints for part finishes. We have a 16 ft. x 30 ft. downdraft paint booth that’s equipped with curing capabilities and sized to handle parts of various sizes. We’re also certified to perform CARC paint for military applications and have a Vacublast sandblaster for additional services.
Sawing
Three saws support Flinchbaugh’s machine shop needs. The saws each have distinct capabilities and are also used as backup and increased capacity if required. The largest, highest production saw is a Hyd-Mech with a 12 in. x 12 in. bundling vise and automatic bar feed system. The Wells saw has mitering capabilities and the Do-All is a versatile band saw.
Assembly
Some products require the assembly of hardware, purchased components or several parts. At Flinchbaugh, we offer a number of premium services to finish parts. Our expert team can assemble the parts together to deliver you a finished product right from our facility.
Multi-Axis Machining
Among its CNC Milling and Turning equipment, Flinchbaugh also has a number of multi-axis machining capabilities. We have machines that can operate on 4- and 5-axes to produce even the most complicated shapes for your parts.
Auxiliary Services
Several additional capabilities distinguish Flinchbaugh from other custom machine shops, like surface grinding, honing, vibratory deburring, and parts washing. Our list of equipment also includes multi-presses with our largest being capable of 100 tons.
Delivery
As well as machining, we also offer local delivery services of the parts that we create. We track everything we do through our JobBOSS ERP software system. We put a lot of energy and focus on delivering our quality machined parts to you on time and ready to meet your deadlines.
